A holistic solution to treating obesity includes early diagnosis, lifestyle and behavioural interventions, pharmacotherapy and potentially bariatric surgery.
At weight loss Wales, our mission is to provide high-quality healthcare services to our patients. We strive to make our patients feel comfortable and cared for during every contact.
The purpose of the clinic is to provide access to a doctor led, virtual, medical weight loss service.
All patients will be offered a review by a doctor on a monthly basis. They will be offered weight loss, diet and exercise advice and access to an online doctor. If needed, indicated and wanted using a shared management plan they can be prescribed weight loss medication. Patients would only be offered evidence based treatments under the supervision of a doctor with appropriate advice and safety netting. The services offered will be aligned with medical best practice and evidence. Patients will be assessed and a shared management plan for weight loss will be made. Patients' will have unlimited touch points with help of a clinician available when needed. Being a virtual clinic the mode of communication will be led by the patient and what suits their individual needs. Patients will be given full advice during the consultations and provided with written information. They can choose to stop the treatment at any point. Patients will be assessed at all stages as suitable to start or continue the programme.
At weight loss Wales, our philosophy is centred around personalised care that addresses the unique needs of each patient. We believe in taking a holistic approach to healthcare that considers the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of our patients.
