Weight Loss Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a private, fully remote, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW)-registered weight management clinic. We provide medical assessments, digital consultations, prescribing services, and ongoing weight management support.
Scope of services
We provide evidence-based obesity management, including virtual consultations, medication prescribing (when clinically appropriate), and ongoing follow-up. All consultations are remote (video, phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or email). We are not an emergency service. For emergencies, call 999, or 111 for urgent medical advice.
Eligibility and responsibilities
You must be 18+ and a UK resident. You agree to provide complete and accurate health information and report new medical issues or side effects promptly. You must follow treatment and safety guidance.
Clinical assessment and prescribing
Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate. We may request laboratory tests before or during treatment. Off-label use is discussed and consented separately. We may withhold or discontinue treatment for safety reasons.
Medicines, delivery, and refunds
Medicines are dispensed by independent partner pharmacies. Once a prescription-only medicine (POM) has been dispensed, it cannot be returned or refunded, except where required by law. For delivery issues, contact the dispensing pharmacy.
Devices, pens, and needles
If a device appears faulty, stop using it immediately and retain packaging. Contact the device manufacturer for troubleshooting, replacement, or warranty support. Inform the dispensing pharmacy and Weight Loss Wales so we can advise clinically and complete pharmacovigilance reporting.
Fees, payments, and vouchers
Fees are shown on our website. Payment is required at booking. Promotional vouchers are non-transferable and have no cash value.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Consultations may be rescheduled with 24 hours’ notice. Missed or late cancellations may be charged. Once medicine is dispensed, refunds are not possible.
Care communications (WhatsApp & Email)
We provide remote care via WhatsApp, email, SMS, phone, and our patient portal. By using our service, you consent to these channels for clinical communication. These are not for emergencies. You may update preferences anytime.
Marketing communications (opt-in)
With your explicit consent, we may send promotional or educational messages via email, WhatsApp, or SMS. You can unsubscribe or reply STOP anytime although we will still need open communication for clinical care.
Safety and emergencies
Report side effects promptly during clinic hours. For emergencies, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
Data protection and privacy
We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are the data controller for clinical records. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Complaints
Complaints should be sent via the contact page. If unresolved, contact Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW).
Liability
We are not liable for device defects, courier delays, or events beyond our control. Manufacturer warranty decisions rest with the manufacturer.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
